Recording at the
The recording artist works at a comfortable, quiet, stress-reducing home location with fully adjustable mikes (1), headphone personal volume control (2), remote control fan (3), music stand (4), choice of chairs/stools (5), and transparent curtains when doing a take (6).

The artist selects what base tracks are to be heard in their personal headphones.  The real-time sound of the artist is always included with adjustable level. A bathroom and dressing room are available to the artist. A relaxed, collaborative atmosphere is our style.

Behringer B-1 studio mikes are our favorites; we also have "lead singer" mikes and lapel mikes as needed.  You may also bring your own favorites. 48V Phantom power is available.  Normally, only one musician records at a time so that the sound can be adjusted for the voice or instrument individually.

If you use a direct box or other electronics, they may be connected directly to the computer. We normally use a max of two mike cords at once; more is possible in special situations. We specialize in providing custom midi accompaniment for solo musicians.

Sound is recorded directly on a high speed but quiet computer system using an internal professional German Sound Interface with very high quality. Studio noise level is a low -48 dB. Even this is routinely removed in the software.  Our style is to record pure sound at high but unclipped volume and add effects like reverb and equalization in the mixing process as desired. However, we can also add these effects in the mike pre-mixer if desired.

Cakewalk Sonar software is used for capture of tracks and also selection of what tracks will appear in the performer's headphones during recording.

Midi tracks and audio may be freely intermixed by the engineer or songwriter.

Any song on the Internet may be downloaded directly as tracks. We specialize in unique arrangements of Midi songs.

Standard lyrics can be found on the Internet and quickly printed. There is no limit to the number of tracks and re-takes that can be saved for mixing.

Keyboards can be captured directly with MIDI. A small Yamaha PSR-295 48 key is available. Plug-in your keyboard directly to our computer via MIDI or USB 1/2 .
